Car Air Conditioning Service & Regas in Harrow

At A1 Repair Centre, we provide expert car air conditioning servicing in Harrow to keep your vehicle cool, comfortable, and running efficiently all year round. Whether your system needs a regas or a full inspection, our experienced technicians are here to help.
Over time, air conditioning systems naturally lose refrigerant gas, which reduces cooling performance. Regular servicing helps restore efficiency, improve air quality, and prevent costly repairs down the line.
Air Con Regas
If your air conditioning isn’t blowing as cold as it should, a regas is often the solution. This service removes old refrigerant and replaces it with the correct gas, restoring your system’s cooling power.
At A1 Repair Centre, we work with both:
  • R134a air conditioning systems
  • R1234yf air conditioning systems
Not sure which your vehicle uses? Our team will check and advise.
*Please note: We will book your vehicle in for a free air con check. For vehicles requiring R134A gas, the cost to recharge is £74.95. For vehicles that require R1234YF gas the cost is £137.95 to recharge. Our centres are currently unable to recharge vehicles requiring R744 gas. Our technician will advise which type your vehicle requires before recharging the air con gas*.

How Do I Know Which Air Con Gas My Vehicle Needs?

The type of air conditioning gas your vehicle requires usually depends on its age.
Most vehicles manufactured before 2014 use R134a refrigerant. Newer vehicles are fitted with the more environmentally friendly R1234yf gas, which became standard in all newly manufactured cars from 1st January 2017.
During the transition period between 2014 and 2016, manufacturers began switching to the newer gas, so vehicles from these years may use either type.
If you’re unsure which air con gas your vehicle needs, don’t worry, our team at A1 Repair Centre can quickly check this for you and ensure the correct gas is used.

Common Signs Your Air Con Needs Attention

If your air conditioning isn’t performing as it should, there are a few common warning signs to look out for. You may notice the air isn’t blowing as cold as it used to, the airflow feels weaker than normal, or there are unpleasant smells coming through the vents. In some cases, you might also find that your windows take longer to demist than usual.
If you’re experiencing any of these issues, it’s a good idea to have your system checked as soon as possible.
